Remember that Obama SNL skit I posted yesterday? Well, CNN had nothing better to do, so they decided to fact check the skit, just to make sure that Obama truly has done nothing as president. Though the headlines are reporting that SNL “got some things wrong,” after watching the video, I have to say, what exactly did they get wrong?

They bring some guy on from Politifact.com, a non-partisan site which keeps track of Obama’s campaign promises. He says they were right about pretty much everything, except Afghanistan because the President sent two more brigades out there. That’s great, but the questions wasn’t did he TRY to do anything to make things better, it’s if he MADE things better, and every time I turn on the news we’re setting new records for the amount of troops killed in Afganistan.

Outside of Guantanamo and Afghanistan, the piece doesn’t even talk about any of the other items on the check list including health care, Iraq, torture prosecutions and gays in the military. All of that stuff? Yeah, we’ll get to it…

So good work CNN, you proved SNL right then told everyone you proved them wrong. That’s journalism I can believe in.
