I pulled this from the Michael Moore vs. Sean Hannity interview I posted yesterday, where Moore (a catholic) is trying to explain to Hannity (also a catholic) how to interpret Jesus’ teachings like “love they enemy” and “help the poor.” Hannity doesn’t quite grasp either concept.

To be fair, in the Bible God quite literally destroys some of his enemies with fire and brimstone, and at one point kills everyone on earth except ten people with a flood, but by the time Jesus came he got a lot nicer.

The point about health care really sticks though. There’s really no other way to read “that which you do unto the least of these, you do unto me.”
