Score another one for the Republicans!  In the latest repeal efforts….

Rep. Patrick Murphy (D- PA, 8th Dist, House site) is leading a special order speeches hour on the House floor to discuss the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. He says there are three main reasons that we need the repeal:

1. It is “vital” to national security that we repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.
2. It is “doing right by our taxpayers.” $1.3 billion has been spent to throw these people out of the military.
3. DADT goes against “the very fabric of what makes our country the greatest country on Earth”: the fact that we are all created equal.

When it was Rep. Gohmert’s turn to respond he had this to say:

Some day, some court, he said, and “I hope this doesn’t offend,” is going to say, “If you’re oriented toward animals, then that’s not something that can be held against you. . . . toward corpses, toward children . . . .” “Whatever you’re oriented to sexually,” you can’t have that used against you.”

Um, I’m pretty sure you can have it used against you in this country.  Don’t get me wrong Louie, if you want to go ahead and love your animals in ways that would make 99.9% of us throw up in our mouths that’s fine, but something tells me that a court of law might not condone it just yet.  Towards corpses?  Children?  Just be glad you didn’t say “and not only can you not have that used against you, but it’s your right as a human being to run a child prostitution business.”

Yup, I’m sure this guy Gohmert doesn’t have any skeletons in his closet.  Can you imagine some of the titles of the dirty movies this guy owns?  Good God.   Oh I’m sorry did I say God?  I’m in trouble now!
